Students will discover the truth about color, value and temperature relationships within shapes of light and shadow. They will learn how to quickly reveal the essence of the scene before them.Students will use their plein air works along with photo reference to create larger works when we move back into the Zoll Studio classroom when it is no longer feasible to work outdoors due to inclement or cold weather. When working in the studio students will have time to rethink their initial design, make changes to the format, size, medium, etc. Studio time provides a more relaxed setting to experiment with the initial concept for the painting using photos to add detail when needed. The Zoll Studio is a comfortable and welcoming environment for all levels of artists, both aspiring and professional.
