PASTEL INSTRUCTION

Pastel en Plein Air with Daniel Wise Sept. 21-24, 2009

A four-day, soft (dry) pastel, plein air workshop for all levels.

Paint the scenic and historic locations St. Mary's Peninsula, including: the Campus of St. Mary's College of Maryland; Church Point, part of Trinity Episcopal Church; the grounds of the Historic St. Mary's City, an outdoor museum of Maryland's first Colonial capital; and many lovely vistas overlooking the St. Mary's and Potomac Rivers and the Chesapeake Bay.

The workshop focuses on the development of painting skills, techniques, and aesthetic sensibilities related to artistic expression in soft pastel with an emphasis on composition, color and as they pertain to the landscape.
