WE SAY GOODBYE TO MPS MEMBER

Emily Taliaferro, Past President

We are saddened by the passing of MPS past president Emily Taliaferro, after a long illness, at Roland Park Place in Baltimore on April 2. Emily studied art at the Schuler School and painted outdoors with the Baltimore Watercolor Society, of which she was also a past president. She taught art for more than 2 decades in her home studio in Roland Springs, and showed her work at the Art Gallery of Fells Point. In addition to her talents as a visual artist, Emily also played the piano, taught drama and directed plays at Roland Park Country School and Boys’ Latin School, and performed with the Baltimore Actors’ Theater and the Women’s Club of Roland Park. The Maryland Pastel Society wishes to express our deepest condolences to Emily’s family. A memorial service will be held on April 10 at the Church of the Redeemer, at 1:00pm.
