Tara started working in plein air in 2014, building a portfolio to apply for juried events. Working in pastels, using bold, colorful, expressive marks, Tara seeks to capture the “essence” of her subject. She earned her “Master Pastellist” designation from the International Association of Pastel Societies in 2018, and has exhibited in London, China, Canada, and across the US. Since first working in plein air, Tara has fallen in love with painting outside. Beautiful light, variety of subject matter, and vibrant colors provide endless inspiration. Her goal is to provide students the tools they need to find their own voice and be more confident in their work. She focuses on color, markmaking, and composition with her students. She currently lives in Maryland with her husband and four young children. Visit her website at tarawill.com.

Workshop fee: $330.00. Accommodations and meals are additional. This workshop is open to students with all painting skill levels; Beginning to Master.
