Maryland Pastel Society is delighted to welcome back Jeanne Rosier Smith for a 3-day plein air and studio workshop, “Composing Landscape: Plein air to Studio.” This workshop explores the advantages of a plein air practice, even for those typically most comfortable in the studio. By composing the landscape and observing color directly from life, we gain freedom and strength in our decision making. The interplay between plein air and studio will revolutionize the way you think about your reference photo, freeing you up for stronger and more interpretive painting.
