Our summer meeting is all about Recycling Pastels!

Bring your broken pastel bits and dust.  We will show you how to re-cycle your shattered pastels and dust into new pastel sticks.  Dress for the mess!  It will be fun!

What to bring?

  • Pastel dust / broken pastel bits – enough to make a new pastel stick (about two tablespoons of dust and/or bits should do the trick)
  • A drop cloth and an old towel to protect the floor and table
  • If you have them, two strait edge palette knives / spatulas which come in handy to shape your pastel stick.
  • An apron to protect your clothes
  • Baby wipes to clean your hands

But wait, there’s more…

PASTEL SUPPLY SALE!

If you have extra or unwanted pastels supplies that you want to sell or swap with other members, this is your opportunity to "recycle" them. We will have table space for you to use.

You manage your own sales.

Don't have old stuff to recycle?  No problem. If you need supplies, we will have some donated pastel supplies available for purchase.   All proceeds for these donated supplies will go toward awards for our National Juried Exhibition, "Shades of Pastel 2025".

Don’t forget to bring something for the refreshments table – finger foods only please.

This meeting will not be broadcast via ZOOM.
