All Signature Members of the Maryland Pastel Society are invited to submit entries to participate in this exhibition at the beautiful Tish Fine Art Plus Gallery. Tish is a gallery showing artwork of local, national and international artists working in all media, as well as an emporium of handcrafted jewelry from the Eastern Shore and beyond, with an emphasis on originality. Tish is located in the heart of the Chestertown Arts and Entertainment District.
Prospectus
Important dates:
- Sunday, July 21: Entry Deadline
- Thursday, July 25: Acceptance Notifications emailed to members
- Sunday, August 25: Drop off accepted work noon - 4pm
- Monday, August 26: Drop off accepted work 10am - 2pm
- Friday, August 30: Show opens
- Saturday, September 7, Reception to Meet the Artists, 2 – 4pm
- Saturday, September 28: Pick up of all unsold artwork 1 – 4pm
- Sunday, September 29: Pick up of all unsold artwork noon – 3pm
Eligibility and Acceptance
Open to all Signature members in good standing. A maximum of 60 artists will be accepted and each will have one entry in the show. An artist may submit up to two paintings should there be room for additional works. If you enter two pieces, upload them in priority order.
All artwork must be for sale.
Gallery Commission
The Tish Fine Arts Plus gallery charges a 30% commission of all sales. Please price your work accordingly.
Framing & Presentation
All works must be delivered framed under glass or plexiglass and ready to hang. Framing should be of professional quality, suitable for sale.
Presentation should be professional-looking, complimentary to the artwork, undamaged, reinforced, and with all wires and hardware securely attached. All mats and frames must be clean. The Maryland Pastel Society reserves the right to remove from the exhibition any paintings delivered with saw tooth hangers; metal clip frames; broken, missing, or unsafe hanging wire, as well as any cracked, damaged, or dirty glazing, matting or framing.
Drop off and Pick Up of Artwork
Artwork is to be delivered to Tish Fine Art Plus on Sunday, August 25 or Monday, August 26th from 10am-3pm. Pick-up unsold artwork between 10am- 3pm on Sunday, September 29th or Monday, September 30th.

Liability
The utmost care will be taken in the handling of artwork. Insurance for all artwork, in situ and in transit, is the responsibility of the participating artist. Neither the Tish Fine Art Plus Gallery nor the Maryland Pastel Society may be held liable for loss or damage of artwork. Maryland Pastel Society and Tish Fine Art Plus reserve the right to reproduce accepted entries for publicity. Copyright will be attributed to the artist. Submission of entry shall constitute agreement with ALL conditions set forth in this prospectus.
