Libby Stevens was the featured artist for the month of September at Hillsborough vineyards in Purcellville, Va. The reception was held on September 7th.
Libby will also be featured in the "Get Real" show in September and the "Loudoun Landscapes" all at Gallery 222 in Leesburg, VA in October.

Kay Sandler's "Poppy Power" was juried in the PSA's 36th annual show in New York City, and "Antique Peony" was juried into the Degas Pastel Society's 12th Biennial by juror Terry Ludwig.

Lisa Kyle Coordinates the charitable, Art for the Cure event. This is an opportunity for everyone to join the fight against breast cancer while also supporting Maryland artists, 26 of whom have artwork featured. Forty percent of each piece's sale price is donated to the Maryland Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Opening Reception, November 14, 6pm-9pm, admission: $75.

Sandy Askey-Adams' painting "Afternoon Calm" was accepted in the "Paint the Parks" national show, plus four other paintings were accepted in the Second Top 100.
Sandy also has three paintings accepted in the National Pastel Art Show of Colorado.

Bob Russin's "Forsythia Paint" won the 2008 National Arts Club award in the PSA 36th annual show in New York. Bob was one of the top 14 award winners.

Jean Hirons is the featured artist at Waverly Street Gallery in Bethesda. Her show "New Pastels" featuring thirty four landscapes will be on exhibit from October7 through November 8th. The reception will be held Friday October 10th from 6-9pm.

Tressa Hommel's "Marsh at Edgewood" was juried into the Jack Richeson 75 Landscape 2008 Exhibit in Kimberly, Wisconsin. For more information
Also "Cherries" and "Severn Run" were accepted in the Appalachian Pastel Show, juried by Margaret Dyer. Show opening and reception is October 3rd, and runs until November 22.

Joyce Lister, along with two other area artists, was invited to participate in an exhibit at Ladew Topiary Gardens in Monkton, MD for their annual fundraiser event. The show opens in the Barn Gallery on September 20 until October 31.
